July 10-13, 2017 | Detroit, Michigan
Join us at the Detroit Yoga Lab for a Myofascial Release Immersion (25hrs) led by Tiffany Cruikshank. This format is a shortened version of the full 60-hour Myofascial Release module that we offer. Immersions are a great way for our teachers and dedicated practitioners to continue their education without having to commit to an entire week or a long plane ride. The price of these immersion trainings includes the training tuition only, making it accessible for local teachers or those who want to find their own food & accommodations.
Yoga Medicine’s immersions usually begin with a daily 2-hour morning practice relevant to the course content & follow with afternoon training lectures and a short evening review assignments to help you retain the information.
This 4-day immersion will be a mix of asana practice and lecture with hands-on learning of myofascial release techniques and its application within the yoga setting. We will look at the current research on the fascia as well as the therapeutic application of myofascial release techniques to assist our students. Identifying common areas and trigger points in the body that with simple, mindful self-application can be a great tool for teachers and students alike.
This module counts as 25 hours towards your 500hr or 1000hr certification. You do not need to be enrolled in our 500hr/1000hr program in order to attend, though you are welcome to apply before the immersion. After the immersion, you also have the option to apply to our program if you would like to continue studying with Yoga Medicine.
