Pre-requisites
This program is for you if you have a passion for continuous learning, and a minimum of two years of consistent practice (3-6 days per week). While we do not require you to apply and be approved for the 200hr Program to participate in this online training, our goal is to work closely with those who wish to become dedicated teachers to guarantee a high level of outcome and proficiency.
We offer a flexible program that includes 10 blocks of online coursework and practical exams, spanning over a time period of 41 weeks. Each block consists of 3 weeks that are filled with intensive study and one week off which you can use as an integration week or to catch up on the coursework. Each week has a mix of live sessions, pre-recorded practices and lectures, homework and self-reflection delving into anatomy, alignment, meditation, breathwork, philosophy, and more -- all of which lays the foundation for your teaching.
Throughout the 41 weeks of training, you will be given weekly assignments consisting of yoga practices, online lectures, review sessions, practice teaching, pop quizzes, and recommendations for your personal practice. You should plan for 6-6.5 hours a week of coursework. Approximately two hours of this will include yoga practice, so you will also want to factor in time for your regular yoga practice. During the last block of training, there will be plenty of asana review and practice teaching with valuable feedback to hone your skills as a teacher prior to your final practical exams.
Blocks 1-9 (Weeks 1-40) will follow the same rhythm of 3 weeks on / 1 week off.
Block 10 (Week 41) will consist of a live 2-day practical exam period.
