This is very helpful, Joy! As she gets more comfortable with me in our sessions, she is able to open up more and give more details about her situation. Your brief explanations and reminders are great guides for my queries and in planning her sessions. Thanks for your patience and for generously sharing your knowledge! 🙂

      Best regards,

Hi Joy! Thank you for patiently giving me a glimpse of what my student may be going through from the lens of TCM. She specifically mentioned in our last meeting that when triggered, she feels very dry and burning sensation in her genitalia (sometimes even when it is physically not dry at all). Does this point towards the stagnant qi that you are referring to? If she experiences symptoms of dryness to the point of burning pain, does this refer strongly to a deficiency in the water element and/or her kidney and liver meridians? Should I then introduce asanas that focus on stretching out these meridians (e.g., baddha konasana, balancing half-moon, etc. — I made a cursory search on internet for these poses)?

Apologies for bombarding you with more questions. You truly have already helped me a lot with the information you’ve shared above! Thank you also for the gentle reminder. It was actually her gynecologist and PT who recommended that she supplement her ongoing treatment with yoga which led her to us (me). Hopefully, I can truly be of service to her. 🙂

Thanks again, Joy! Hope to cross paths with you in person again soon!
