      Thanks ladies!

I went to the doctor a few years ago about the pain/numbness. He gave said it’s probably carpal tunnel syndrome. I didn’t go further in getting any testing done. I’m trying out Tiffany’s Yogaglo exercises and Andrea I’ll check out the ones you’ve linked also. I think hand massage would be a good idea. Personally my forearms always seem a bit tight so this may help loosen up those muscles and free up my nerves. I do have an office job 8-5 so maybe it’s time to look at how my computer is set up. A few of my students have mentioned their wrists are sore also. Because of this I often make my flow with limited time putting weight on the wrists. I think also including some of these same tips/stretches from Tiffany and the YouTube video in class will really help.

      Thanks!!!!!

          Hi Allison,

I personally have experienced this. I teach towards the newbies and remind the ones that have been practicing longer that they can make it harder with their own modifications.

I always demo the simple version first and remind the class it is fine to stay there if it’s appropriate for them. Then offer a modification to make it more challenging at an intermediate level if people want to take it further.

Also if this particular student is already a teacher she can make modifications on her own. She is probably looking for someone to “hold the space” more than anything else. Sometimes I also ask advanced students exactly what they are looking for and have a discussion about it. 🙂 Hope this helps some.

          ~ Peace, Sarah Brandle
