Yoga offers many excellent tools for supporting athletic performance, but the needs of athletes can vary significantly from those of the general population and so “regular” yoga classes aren’t always productive for an athletic body! This series introduces the different styles of yoga, and explains how each modality can benefit you as an athlete, whether it’s enhancing recovery, improving tissue resilience to prevent injury, or maintaining appropriate range of motion.
Additionally, you’ll receive information about how these different modalities fit in the context of athletic training; understanding the “how” and “why” of these techniques will also allow you to confidently dive into the full YMO library, knowing that you’ll be able to put these resources to use in a way that seamlessly dovetails with your training goals.
