This class series combines gentle mobility, myofascial release and restorative yoga to create a space for potent rest, both physically and mentally. Since our “peak pose” is one of relaxation, myofascial release is a perfect complement to help us wind down and subsequently reap the full benefits of these practices. The effects are multi-faceted: the gentle mechanical input from MFR downshifts the nervous system into a state of calm, while also releasing any tension that might keep us from fully relaxing into our restorative shape. The final pose itself seals in the zen so that you can leave your mat feeling both rested and refreshed. Use these classes at the end of the day to transition into a relaxed evening, set the stage for quality sleep, or even to carve out a moment of calm in the middle of a busy day.
