Dana Diament is a teacher, educator, studio owner, and mum. As a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, she has a wide variety of experience working with people 1-on-1; her specialities include back and hip pain, recovery and addiction, anxiety and depression, pregnancy and post-natal.
Dana has helped 400 people become yoga teachers, personally mentored over 100 new yoga teachers, and taught on teacher training programs in Hawaii, Mexico, Thailand, Napa, San Francisco, and San Diego for Yoga Medicine and in Byron Bay for Creature Yoga.
Her online classes are available on Yoga Medicine Online, and she is a contributor to Well Being’s Yoga Experience, Yoga Journal, Yoga Digest and Wild magazine.
Dana came to yoga as a teenager and developed a regular practice initially for the mental and emotional benefits she experienced of finding clarity, gaining confidence, and connecting to a peaceful place within. Her love for functional anatomy came later on, through healing injuries and her mentorship with Tiffany Cruikshank. Her teaching weaves together her two passions – intelligent anatomical sequencing and wisdom drawn from philosophy – to create classes with a three dimensional focus on health and wellness.
Dana has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cornell University and an associate’s degree in Graphic Design from Parson’s University in New York. Born in Israel and raised in New Jersey, she has found her true home in Lennox Head, Australia, where she is the owner of Lennox Yoga & Wellness Centre.
