Join psychologist Diane Malaspina, Ph.D and Tiffany Cruikshank, L.Ac. for this 5-week guided program that provides information, practices & techniques, and personalized resources to help you progress through burnout.
With burnout becoming such a prevalent & timely issue, we’re excited to share this brand-new, research-based program to help support & prevent burnout. This intentionally curated 5-week guided program provides information, practices, and individualized resources to help you move through burnout.
Burnout is a syndrome of chronic unmitigated stress mostly studied as a workplace phenomenon, but can occur within any situation that creates exhaustion, negative mood, and reduced effectiveness. Since 2020, workplace surveys report more than half of employees are experiencing burnout leading to challenges with physical and mental health and reduced performance.
Yoga, breath work, and mindfulness practices can be potent tools to help alleviate and prevent the onset and progression of Burnout Syndrome. In this course we’ll explore a variety of practices that aid in recovery and build resilience. We’ll use breathwork, restorative yoga, movement practices, meditation, acupressure, and MFR along with education and mindset shifts to help dial in your unique tool set for working with and preventing burnout. Diane Malaspina, Ph.D. brings over 20 years of experience as a psychologist and coach to provide the research and psychological lens of burnout, recovery, and resilience. Our founder, Tiffany Cruikshank, L.Ac, MAOM, brings over 20 years of experience in Chinese Medicine to lend a different perspective & additional resources to train the nervous system for resilience. We’ll investigate physiological arousal and performance, the window of tolerance, symptoms & risk factors of burnout, the art of regulation & recovery, and the individual patterns & consequences of burnout on the brain. This course will also examine active recovery strategies, tools for antifragility, and yoga applications throughout that serve to burnout proof for future resilience.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to create an individualized burnout plan that can be used personally or as a yoga teacher seeking to support others who experience burnout. The course format is a guided program for those with burnout but also provides a learning experience for those working with clients with burnout.
