Training Description

Led by Tiffany Cruikshank, this 25-hour training will dive deep into all the important points to consider in developing effective practices to support athletic recovery, cross training and injury prevention modalities. We’ll dig into new research on connective tissue training for movement efficiency and tissue resilience. We’ll dissect stretching modalities and their use and implications within different athletic cross training practices. There will be an overview of common athletic injuries and how to approach them. We will assess the application of yoga for the different phases of athletic training and recovery as well as off-season cross-training applications. We will also look at different sports and positions, and how to analyze the application of yoga to any athletic endeavor to help teachers create effective yoga classes for athletes and working with injuries, injury prevention, performance enhancement, and mental preparation. This course will arm you with the key components for working with competitive athletes, teams, professional athletes and casual athletes looking to enhance their performance and recovery and train their tissues for resilience.

The 25-hour Yoga for Athletes Training will enable you to weave yoga into any athletic endeavor to create an effective yoga class that accommodates injuries, injury prevention, performance enhancement, and mental preparation.

This 4-day, urban-style immersion allows you to explore Berlin’s exceptional range of landmarks and historical buildings, modern architecture, and vibrant cultural scene. We hope you’ll join us for this urban adventure!

Laura Gonzales

500-Hour Yoga Medicine Teacher

“Other yoga teacher trainings I’ve completed outside of Yoga Medicine left me feeling really unprepared to teach – I didn’t have a strong grasp of anatomy and I didn’t feel confident with my knowledge. I knew I wanted to do more training. I’ve now completed the Shoulder, Hip, and Spine Modules, Yoga for Athletes and Myofasical Release Immersions. I’ve left every training feeling armed not just with theoretical information, but comprehensive knowledge that I could apply straight away within classes and with private clients.”

Daneen Farrall

500-Hour Yoga Medicine Teacher

“Just finished the Yoga for Athletes immersion in Nashville, and left with so much practical knowledge, I can’t wait to bring it to my students in CLE.”
