Training Description

This “first of its kind” training explores the interface between cutting edge research and traditional interpretations of yoga nidra. Emphasizing an evidence-informed approach, this program will empower you to create your own yoga nidra classes rather than having to rely on a script.

In this 20-hour, LIVE online training led by Caroline Wybar and Dr. Katja Bartsch, you will learn the history, philosophy, and science informing the contemporary practice of yoga nidra. You’ll get an in-depth look at the what, why, and how of the many different techniques used in yoga nidra today. And you will leave feeling confident about how to best employ these techniques to maximize therapeutic outcomes in those you are working with. You will learn an approach to teaching yoga nidra that is based on principles not prescriptives, affording you freedom to adapt the practice with greater nuance, sensitivity, and skill.

This course will benefit anyone with a keen interest in nervous system regulation, stress resilience, performance recovery, and general well-being. This training offers a wealth of science that is relevant not only for yoga teachers but across many professions. Pain specialists, physical therapists, mental health workers, and other healthcare professionals will gain a systems-level perspective on the role of mind-body practices in supporting neurophysiological health and walk away with fresh inspiration and new tools. Yoga teachers who offer meditation, yin, myofascial release, or restorative classes, or who simply want to provide their students with “the best savasana ever!” will find this curriculum invaluable.

Lindsay Roselle

500-Hour Yoga Medicine Teacher

“I'm continually impressed with the quality of Yoga Medicine programming, the dedication to real, usable education, and the hearts of the group of people that show up to each training. Each YM training has served me perfectly at that moment in my life, and I just want to express my gratitude again to you Tiffany and your team for your tireless commitment to creating exceptional experiences.”

Sophie Tashkovski

500-Hour Yoga Medicine Teacher

“There is no doubt that I have become a better teacher with each training I attend. YM trainings have fine tuned my understanding of anatomy, and helped me better understand how to help individual clients feel best in their bodies. I’ve also learned about my own body and how to treat it with kindness. YM trainings have changed my Yoga perspective-when I started as a Yoga student, I thought you had to push yourself at all costs to achieve a pose. Now I accept where I am on any given day and know that it might be different the next day.”
