Positive Tissue Adaptation

Yoga is an excellent modality for exploring both sides of the coin when it comes to tissue adaptations: we need both stimulus that effectively targets different types of tissue with their ideal loading styles and patterns, as well as the subsequent recovery where the reparatory process happens and the gains are made. This short lecture provides a broad overview of how we can promote better strength and function in bone, muscle and connective tissue within the context of a yoga practice, while also exploring where other movement modalities or styles of loading are needed to achieve the desired outcomes.
